I did not notice the recorder was on while I was talking to William in the kitchen at the Backpackers - so here is the stream. We talk about different issues and I also show him the work I have developed during the year with my classes.

Paryia (photo) invites me to share the room for the night (I take a bus to Rotorua the following day) and together with other teachers from the Otago Language Centre we go out for dinner at the Indian restaurant.

IHere I interview three primary grade 5/6 kids from Pine Hill School in Dunedin about the work they are doing on the computers.

Mrs Jan Anderson kindly allowed me to visit Otago Girls' High School and to interview her . It would be nice if the students in Dunedin and Sao Paulo could openly connect, exchange ideas and share cultural information through social tools like weblogs and podcasts.

On a holiday trip to Australia and New Zealand

Gabriel from Rio. Finished his studies in business administration and going to study English in Australia for a year and a half.

Michel from Sao Paulo. Finished his Law studies and travelling to Australia do study English.

Giovana did International Relations in Rio and is headed towards Australia do improve her English

Beto on the plane to Sydney. He did his masters in artificial intelligence at POLI, Sao Paulo.

Rafael from Rio. Traveling to Auckland, NZ to study English.
He finished his studies in business administration.

Marcelo is an electronic engineer from Rio Grande do Sul - travelling to Australia to study English.

Sophie and Izzy are two students from Wellington, NZ. I met them in the library while trying to upload my pictures to Flickr. I overheard them practising their orals for the French class and decided to interview them. Check it out!

I met this group of Brazilian university students on the flight from Buenos Aires to Auckland on September 16th 2006. Most of them were travelling to Australia to stay with a family, study English and work a bit. Some were headed to Auckland and one was on holidays.

As the trip was long, they all gathered next to my seat and started talking. I decided to interview them.

I was sleepy this morning so went through a strange process when recording this. I opened my Windows Acessories Entertainment and recorded the message but it gave me a wav file. I tried to find Audacity in a hurry before going to school but could not, so chose Total Recorder to convert it to mp3. Bizarre, huh?
